S e t t i n g s68Allow numbers when phone lockedWhen phone lock is on, the only outgoing calls that can be made are to theemergency number programmed into your device (for example, 911) or thenumber stored in the Allowed no. when phone locked location:1. In the standby mode, select Menu > Settings > Security settings.2. Enter the lock code, and select OK. See "Change lock code," p. 68.3. Select Allowed no. when phone locked. Highlight an empty folder and selectAssign and enter the phone number; or select Assign > Search to recall thenumber from Contacts. Select OK.Call the allowed phone number1. In the standby mode, enter the number or select Names > Search for thenumber you wish to call.2. Select Options and enter the lock code. Select OK.3. Press the send key to activate the call.Change lock codeAvoid using codes similar to emergency numbers such as 911 to preventaccidental dialing of the emergency number.The preset lock code is 1234 or the last four digits of your phone number. If youenter an incorrect lock code five times in a row, your device will prompt you forthe lock code.If you enter the wrong lock code 5 times in succession, you will not be able to entera code for 5 minutes, even if you power off the device between incorrect entries.1. In the standby mode, select Menu > Settings > Security settings > Changelock code.2. Enter the new lock code (must be 4 characters in length), reenter the newlock code for verification, and select OK.When you change your lock code, make sure you store it in a safe place, awayfrom your device.
