Nokia 6600 User Guide 54 Copyright © 2004 Nokia• MY FOLDERSIn My folders you can organize your messages into folders, create newfolders, and rename and delete folders.Templates folder• You can use text templates to avoid rewriting messages that you send often.To create a new template, select Options→ New template.• REMOTE MAILBOX (NETWORK SERVICE)When you open this folder, you can either connect to your remotemailbox to:• retrieve new e-mail headings or messages, or• view your previously retrieved e-mail headings or messages offline.If you select New message→ Create:→ E-mail or Mailbox in the Messaging mainview and you have not set up your e-mail account, you will be prompted to do so.See “Settings needed for e-mail” on page 50.When you create a new mailbox, the name you give to the mailbox automaticallyreplaces Mailbox in the Messaging main view. You can have several mailboxes(max. six).The Settings wizard program included in PC Suite for this phone can help youconfigure access point and mailbox settings. You can also copy existing settings,for example, from your computer to your phone. See the CD-ROM supplied in thesales package.Opening the mailboxWhen you open the mailbox, you can choose whether you want to view thepreviously retrieved e-mail messages and e-mail headings offline or connect to thee-mail server.• When you scroll to your mailbox and press , the phone asks you if youwant to Connect to mailbox? Select Yes to connect to your mailbox or No toview previously retrieved e-mail messages offline.• Another way to start a connection is to select Options→ Connect.VIEWING E-MAIL MESSAGES WHEN ONLINEWhen you are online, you are continuously connected to a remote mailbox via adata call or a packet data connection. See “Data connection indicators” on page 9,“GSM data calls” on page 67, and “Packet data (General Packet Radio Service,GPRS)” on page 67.
