This e-mailapplication is different from theSMS and MMS e-mail function.Your phone supports POP3 andIMAP4 e-mail servers. Before youcan send and retrieve any e-mail,you may need to do the following:• Obtain a new e-mail accountor use the current one. Foravailability of your e-mailaccount contact your e-mailservice provider.• For the settings required for e-mail,contact your e-mail serviceprovider. You may receive thee-mail configuration settingsas a configuration message. See”Configuration settings service”p. x. You can also enter thesettings manually. See”Configuration” p. 38.To activate the e-mail settings,select Menu > Messages >Message settings > E-mailmessages. See ”E-mail” p. 25.This application does not supportkeypad tones.Write and send an e-mail1. Select Menu > Messages >E-mail > Create e-mail.2. Select Edit to enter the recipient’se-mail address and a subject.3. Select Options > Message editorto enter the text message.4. Select Send > Send now.Download e-mail1. To access the e-mail application,select Menu > Messages >E-mail.2. To download e-mail messagesthat have been sent to youre-mail account, select Retrieve.To download new e-mail messagesand send e-mail that has beensaved in the Outbox folder, selectOptions > Retrieve and send.3. Select the new message in Inbox.To view it later, select Back.indicates an unread message.Read and reply to e-mailImportant: Exercisecaution when openingmessages.
