You can also define thesettings for packet data dial-upconnections.InfraredYou can set up the phone to sendand receive data through its infrared(IR) port. To use an IR connection,the device with which you wantto establish a connection must beIrDA compliant. You can send orreceive data to or from a compatiblephone or data device (for example,a computer) through the IR port ofyour phone.Do not point the IR (infrared)beam at anyone's eyes or allowit to interfere with other IRdevices. Infrared devices areClass 1 laser products.When sending or receiving data,ensure that the IR ports of thesending and receiving devices arepointing at each other and thatthere are no obstructions betweenthe devices.To activate the IR port of your phoneto receive data using IR, selectMenu > Settings > Connectivity >Infrared.To deactivate the IR connection,select Menu > Settings >Connectivity > Infrared. When thephone displays Deactivate infrared?,select Yes.If data transfer is not started within2 minutes after the activation of theIR port, the connection is cancelledand must be started again.IR connection indicatorWhen is shown continuously,the IR connection is activated,and your phone is ready to sendor receive data through its IR port.When blinks, your phoneis trying to connect to the otherdevice, or a connection has beenlost.
