If Expired certificate orCertificate not valid yet is showneven if the certificate should bevalid, check that the current dateand time in your device are correct.Before changing any certificatesettings, you must make sure thatyou really trust the owner of thecertificate and that the certificatereally belongs to the listed owner.Digital signatureYou can make digital signatures withyour phone if your SIM card has asecurity module. The signature canbe traced back to you via the privatekey on the security module and theuser certificate that was used toperform the signature. Using thedigital signature can be the same assigning your name to a paper bill,contract or other document.To make a digital signature, select alink on a page, for example, the titleof the book that you want to buy andits price. The text to sign (possiblyincluding amount, date, etc.) will beshown.Check that the header text is Readand that the digital signature iconis shown.Note: If the digital signatureicon does not appear, thereis a security breach, and youshould not enter anypersonal data such as yoursigning PIN.To sign the text, read all of the textfirst and then you can select Sign.The text may not fit within a singlescreen. Therefore, make sure to scrollthrough and read all of the textbefore signing.Select the user certificate that youwant to use. Enter the signing PIN(see "Access codes" on page vii).
