You should neverrely solely on any wirelessdevice for essentialcommunications like medicalemergencies.To make an emergency call:1. If the phone is not on, switch it on.Check for adequate signal strength.Some networks may require that avalid SIM card is properly inserted inthe phone.2. Press the End key as many times asneeded (e.g. to exit a call, to exit amenu, etc.) to clear the display andready the phone for calls.If the keypad is locked, unlock thekeypad first by pressing the middleselection key and the Call key within1.5 seconds.Note: Note that calls toemergency numbersprogrammed to your phonemay also be possible whenthe keypad is locked,depending on the regionand network serviceprovider. Press the Call keyfor 1.5 seconds. Then pressYes and the Call key within4 seconds to attempt anemergency call.3. Press and hold the middle selectionkey and select the digits of theemergency number for your presentlocation (e.g. 112, 911 or other officialemergency number) one by one fromthe character bar. Emergencynumbers vary by location.4. Press the Call key.If certain features are in use, you mayfirst need to turn those features offbefore you can make an emergency call.If the device is in offline or flight modeyou must change the profile to activatethe phone function before you can makean emergency call. Your wireless device may bethe only means of communication at thescene of an accident. Do not end the calluntil given permission to do so.
