M e n u f u n c t i o n s24Inbox and sent items foldersThe phone saves incoming text and multimedia messages in the Inbox folder andsent text and multimedia messages in the Sent items folder. Text messages areindicated with .Text messages that you want to send later can be saved in the Saved text msgs.,My folders, or Templates folder.TemplatesYour phone includes text templates, indicated by , and picture templates,indicated by .To access the template list, select Menu > Messaging > Saved items > Textmessages > Templates.Saved items folder and My foldersTo organize your messages, move some of them to the Saved items folder, or addnew folders for your messages. While reading a message, select Options > Movemessage, scroll to the folder that you want to move the message to, and select it.To add or delete a folder, select Menu > Messaging > Saved items > Textmessages > My folders. To add a folder if you have not saved any folder, selectAdd. Otherwise, select Options >Add folder. To delete a folder, scroll to the folderthat you want to delete, and select Options > Delete folder.Multimedia messages (MMS)Note: Only devices that have compatible features can receive and displaymultimedia messages. The appearance of a message may vary dependingon the receiving device.A multimedia message can contain text, sound, and a picture or a video clip. Thephone supports multimedia messages that are up to 300 KB in size. If the messagecontains a picture in compatible format, the phone may scale it down to fit thedisplay area. The wireless network may limit the size of MMS messages. If theinserted picture exceeds this limit, the device may make it smaller so that it canbe sent by MMS.The multimedia message function uses shared memory.See "Shared memory," p. 7.If Allow multim. recept. is set to Yes or In home network, your operator or serviceprovider may charge you for every message you receive. The default setting toreceive multimedia messages is generally on. See "Settings for multimediamessages," p. 28.
