Network settingsThe System and Settings menu are used to change a number of settingsrelated to how the phone searches for service, and to modify the phone’sfunctions and security settings.• Network selectionUse the System menu (Menu 5) to change how your phone searches forservice. The following options are available:• Automatic - the phone automatically selects one of the wirelessnetworks available in your area.• Manual - the phone will show a list of available networks and you canselect the desired network if this network has a roaming agreementwith your home network operator. Otherwise the text No Access isdisplayed and another network must be selected. The phone will stayin manual mode until the automatic mode is selected, or when phoneis turned off and back on again.• New search - causes the phone to perform a new search in order tolocate the best wireless service to use in your area.• Network servicesVoice privacyUse this menu option to enable or disable voice encryption for all calls(when this service is available).Own number selectionUse this feature to view your own phone number, or switch betweenmultiple wireless service accounts (phone numbers) programmed intoyour phone. Consult your service provider for more information on usingthis feature.
