A VPN helps providenetwork transactions with privacy and integrity and allowsusers to be authenticated and authorized for access tonetworks and network services.To create a VPN, a gateway and the smartphoneauthenticate each other and negotiate encryption andauthentication algorithms to help protect the privacy andintegrity of the information that you access.The VPN system of the Nokia 7710 smartphone currentlysupports the following gateways: Nokia IP VPN Gateway,Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator Series and Nokia IP SecurityPlatform. A VPNconnection is created to the enterprise network overanother type of Internet access point connection.
