Establishing a GPS connection ina vehicle may take longer.The GPS receiver draws its power from thedevice battery. Using GPS may drain thebattery faster.Position requestsYou may receive a request from a networkservice to receive your positioninformation. Service providers may offerinformation about local topics, such asweather or traffic conditions, based onthe location of your device.When you receive a position request, theservice that is making the request isdisplayed. Select Accept to allow yourposition information to be sent or Rejectto deny the request.LandmarksWith Landmarks, you can save theposition information of locations in yourdevice. You can sort the saved locationsinto different categories, such as business,and add details to them. You can use yoursaved landmarks in compatibleapplications.Select Menu > Applications > Locationand Landmarks.Select Options and from the following:New landmark — Create a newlandmark. To request positioninformation of your current location,select Current position. To enter theposition information manually, selectEnter manually.Edit — Edit a saved landmark (forexample, add a street address).Add to category — Add a landmark to acategory. Select each category to whichyou want to add the landmark.Send — Send one or several landmarks toa compatible device.Create a new landmark categoryOn the categories tab, select Options >Edit categories.GPS dataGPS data is designed to provide routeguidance information to a selecteddestination, position information aboutyour current location, and travelinginformation, such as the approximatedistance to the destination andapproximate duration of travel.Select Menu > Applications > Locationand GPS data.Route guidanceRoute guidance shows the straightestroute and the shortest distance to thedestination, measured in a straight line. Itignores any obstacles on the route, suchas buildings and natural obstacles, ordifferences in altitude. Route guidance isactive only when you move.
