The Global Positioning System (GPS) isoperated by the government of the UnitedStates, which is solely responsible for itsaccuracy and maintenance. The accuracyof location data can be affected byadjustments to GPS satellites made by theUnited States government and is subjectto change with the United StatesDepartment of Defense civil GPS policy andthe Federal Radionavigation Plan.Accuracy can also be affected by poorsatellite geometry. Availability andquality of GPS signals may be affected byyour location, buildings, natural obstaclesand weather conditions. GPS signals maynot be available inside buildings orunderground and may be impaired bymaterials such as concrete and metal.GPS should not be used for preciselocation measurement, and you shouldnever rely solely on location data from theGPS receiver and cellular radio networksfor positioning or navigation.The trip meter has limited accuracy, androunding errors may occur. Accuracy canalso be affected by availability and qualityof GPS signals.Note: Using Wi-Fi may berestricted in some countries. For example,in France, you are only allowed to use Wi-Fi indoors. For more information, contactyour local authorities.View your location and the mapSee your current location on the map, andbrowse maps of different cities andcountries.Select Menu > Maps and My position.marks your current position, ifavailable. When your device is searchingfor your position, blinks. If yourposition is not available, indicates yourlast known position.If only cell ID based positioning isavailable, a red halo around thepositioning icon indicates the generalarea you might be in. In densely populatedareas, the accuracy of the estimateincreases, and the red halo is smaller thanin lightly populated areas.Move on the mapDrag the map with your finger.
