Send service commandsYou can send a service request message(also known as a USSD command) toyour service provider and requestactivation for certain network services.Contact your service provider for theservice request text.To send a service request message,select Options > Service commands.Enter the service request text and selectOptions > Send.Cell broadcastSelect Menu > Messaging andOptions > Cell broadcast.With the cell broadcast network service,you can receive messages on varioustopics from your service provider, suchas weather or traffic conditions in aparticular region. For available topicsand relevant topic numbers, contactyour service provider. Cell broadcastmessages cannot be received when thedevice is in the remote SIM mode. Apacket data (GPRS) connection mayprevent cell broadcast reception.Cell broadcast messages cannot bereceived in UMTS (3G) networks.To receive cell broadcast messages, youmay need to turn cell broadcastreception on. Select Options >Settings > Reception > On.To view messages related to a topic,select the topic.To receive messages related to a topic,select Options > Subscribe.Tip: You can set important topics as hottopics. You are notified in the homescreen, when you receive a messagerelated to a hot topic.
