Always switch the device off and disconnect the charger before removing the battery.With the back of the device facing you, press and hold the cover release button (1), and slide the back cover in the directionof the arrow (2).2. If the battery is installed, lift the battery from the battery compartment in the direction of the arrow to remove it .3. Ensure that the beveled corner of the SIM card is pointing towards the bottom of the device and that the contact area on thecard is facing the device, then insert the SIM card (1) into the SIM card slot (2).4. To insert the battery, align the contacts of the battery with the corresponding connectors on the battery compartment, insertin the direction of the arrow, and gently click the battery into place.© 2007 Nokia.
