Transfer music to your deviceYou can transfer music from a compatible PC orother compatible devices using a compatible USBdata cable or Bluetooth connectivity.PC requirements for music transfer:● Microsoft Windows XP operating system (orlater)● A compatible version of the Windows MediaPlayer application. You can get more detailedinformation about Windows Media Playercompatibility from your device's product pageson the Nokia website.● Nokia Nseries PC Suite 1.6 or laterWindows Media Player 10 may cause playbackdelays to WMDRM technology protected files afterthey have been transferred to your device. CheckMicrosoft support website for a hotfix to WindowsMedia Player 10 or get a newer compatible versionof Windows Media Player.Transfer music from PCYou can use three different methods to transfermusic:● To view your device on a PC as a mass memorydevice where you can transfer any data files,make the connection with a compatible USB datacable or Bluetooth connectivity. If you are usingthe USB cable, select Data transfer as theconnection mode. A compatible memory cardneeds to be inserted in the device.● To synchronise music with Windows MediaPlayer, connect the compatible USB data cableand select Media player as the connectionmode. A compatible memory card needs to beinserted in the device.● To use Nokia Music Manager in Nokia Nseries PCSuite, connect the compatible USB data cable andselect PC Suite as the connection mode.Use Data transfer and Media player modes totransfer files to a compatible memory card.To change the default USB connection mode, press, and select Tools > Connectivity > USB > USBmode.Both Windows Media Player and Nokia MusicManager in Nokia Nseries PC Suite have beenoptimised to transfer music files.
