When you have an active data connection andbrowse the map on the display, a new map isautomatically downloaded if you scroll to an areanot covered by the maps that have already beendownloaded. The maps are automatically saved inthe device memory or on a compatible memorycard, if inserted.To zoom in and out on the map, press * and #.To change the map type, select Options > Mapmode.Display indicatorsThe GPS indicator shows the availabilityof the satellite signals. One bar is one satellite.When the device tries to find satellite signals, thebar is yellow. When the device receives enough datafrom the satellites for GPS to calculate your location,the bar turns green. The more green bars, the morereliable the location calculation.Initially, your device must receive signals from atleast four satellites to calculate your location. Afterthe initial calculation, signals from three satellitesmay be enough.The data transfer indicator shows theinternet connection used, and the amount of datatransferred since the application started.Find locationsTo search for locations, press the scroll key andselect Explore. Start entering the location name inthe search field. The device suggests matchingnearby locations. Select the location from the list,or enter the location name in the search field, andselect Search.1. To find a specific address, select Options >Address search.2.
