Connectivity86Using the wireless LAN function of the Nokia N93 in ahome network requires a working wireless LAN homeconnection setup and the other target home devices to beUPnP enabled and to be connected to the same homenetwork.You can share media files saved in Gallery with othercompatible UPnP devices using the home network. Tomanage your Home network settings, press , andselect Connect. > Home network. You can also use thehome network to view, play, copy, or print compatiblemedia files from Gallery. See ‘View media files’, p. 87.Home network settingsTo share media files saved in Gallery with othercompatible UPnP devices through wireless LAN, you mustfirst create and configure your wireless LAN homeInternet access point, and then configure the Homenetwork application. See ‘Wireless LAN’, p. 15.The options related to Home network are not available inGallery before the Home network settings have beenconfigured.Configure settingsTo configure the Home network application, selectConnect. > Home network > Settings, and from thefollowing:Home access point—Select Always ask if you want thedevice to ask for the home access point every time youconnect to the home network, User defined to select yourhome Internet access point that is used automaticallywhen you use Home network, or None. If your homenetwork does not have wireless LAN security settingsenabled, you get a security warning. You can continue, andswitch the wireless LAN security on later; or canceldefining the access point, and first switch on the wirelessLAN security. See Wireless LAN in ‘Access points’, p. 98.My device name— Enter a name for your device that isshown to the other compatible devices in the homenetwork.Set sharing on and define contentSelect Connect. > Home network > Share content.Content sharing—Allow or deny sharing media files withcompatible devices. Do not set Content sharing on beforeyou have configured all the other settings. If you setContent sharing on, the other UPnP compatible devices inthe home network can view and copy your files you haveselected for sharing in the Images & video and Musicfolders.To select media files for sharing with other devices fromthe Images & video and Music folders, or to view thesharing status of Images & video or Music, select Sharecontent.
