To switch between the modes,turn the fold and the swing axis display. There is a shorttime-out before a mode is activated.Fold-closed modeWhen the fold is closed, the maindisplay deactivates and the coverdisplay lights up. Ongoing calls end,unless the loudspeaker is in use or acompatible headset is connected. Thecover indicator is lit, if you havemissed calls, e-mails, unreadmessages, or when charging. Tochange the cover display settings, see‘Cover display’, p. 112. If you are using the player to listento a sound clip, it continues to play.In the fold-closed mode, the cover display provides clockand status information. On the standby mode display, thesignal strength and battery indicators, time information,status indicators, and the name of the active profile (ifother than General) may be shown. If you use the musicplayer to listen to a sound clip, volume bars and trackinformation are displayed. Use the side scroll key to play,pause, play the next or previous sound clip, and turn thevolume up or down.If you are using Visual Radio in the fold-closed mode, thevisual content is not shown on the cover display. You canstore several preset stations with station name, frequency,and location information. This information is shown on thecover display. To turn the audio on and off, change thechannel, and seek new channels, use the side scroll key.Calendar and clock alarms and notes for missed calls andnew received messages are also displayed. To view receivedtext messages and the text and image objects of receivedmultimedia messages, open the fold, and view the messageon the main display.
