Establishinga GPS connection inthe car may takelonger.The GPS receiverdraws its power from the device battery. Using theGPS receiver may drain the battery faster.About satellite signalsIf your device cannot find the satellite signal,consider the following:● If you are indoors, go outdoors to receive a bettersignal.● If the numeric keypad slide is closed, open it.● If you are outdoors, move to a more open space.● Ensure that your hand does not cover the GPSantenna of your device. See "GPSreceiver," p. 87.● If the weather conditions are bad, the signalstrength may be affected.●● Establishing a GPS connection may take from acouple of seconds to several minutes.Satellite statusTo check how many satellites your device has found,and whether your device is receiving satellitesignals, press , and select Tools >Connectivity > GPS data > Position >Options > Satellite status. If your device hasfound satellites, a bar for each satellite is shown inthe satellite info view. The longer the bar, thestronger the satellite signal.
