20HOW TO USE A SET-A-GOAL WORKOUT1. Begin pedaling or press any button on theconsole to turn on the console.See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER onpage 16.2. Set a calorie, distance, or time goal.To set a calorie, distance, or time goal, first pressthe Set A Goal button.Next, press the increase and decrease buttonsnext to the Enter button until the name of thedesired goal appears in the display. Then, pressthe Enter button.Then, press the increase and decrease buttonsnext to the Enter button to set the desired goal.3. Begin pedaling to start the workout.Each workout is divided into one-minute segments.You can manually change the resistance of thepedals and incline of the ramp as desired duringthe workout by pressing the Resistance buttonsand the Power Ramp buttons.Note: If you manually change the resistance levelor the ramp incline level during a calorie goalworkout, the length of the workout will adjust auto-matically to ensure that you meet your calorie goal.Note: The calorie goal is an estimate of thenumber of calories that you will burn duringthe workout. The actual number of calories thatyou burn will depend on various factors suchas your weight. In addition, if you manuallychange the resistance level or the ramp inclinelevel during the workout, the number of calo-ries you burn will be affected.The workout will continue in this way until thecalorie, distance, or time goal is reached. To pausethe workout, stop pedaling. The time will pause inthe display. To resume the workout, simply resumepedaling.4. Follow your progress with the display.See step 4 on page 17.5.
