Typically, the IP Phone 1120E is connected to a networkthat supports Auto Negotiation, and the IP Phone 1120E selects the bestspeed and duplex mode available. There is no intervention required undernormal operation.ATTENTIONNortel recommends that Auto Negotiation mode is used on the network and theIP Phone 1120E. Use Full Duplex mode only when the entire network is runningin Full Duplex mode. Otherwise, a duplex mismatch results.Note: Changing the speed, or the duplex mode, or both on the IPPhone 1120E changes both the LAN Ethernet port and PC EthernetPort interfaces.If the IP Phone is connected to a network configured for Full Duplex modeonly, the IP Phone 1120E cannot automatically negotiate the properconfiguration.
