For more information about disabling an MBM,see the Administration Guide.2 If the expansion unit is wall-mounted, it must be removed from the wall-mount bracket beforeyou remove the MBM. For more information, see the procedure To remove a wall-mountedexpansion unit on page 189, and then proceed to step 7.3 Disconnect all of the telephone line and extension cables from the MBM.If more than one cable exists, mark the cables to identify the port from which you removedthem.4 Rotate the power supply retention clip to free the power supply cord.5 Remove the power supply cord from the expansion unit.6 Attach one end of the grounding strap to your wrist and the other end to a grounded metalsurface.7 Pull out the ejector lever with your index finger. Then grasp the ejector lever with your thumband index finger and pull outward to disengage the MBM. See the figure Pull out the ejectorlever with your index finger.
