Therecan be times when it is necessary to limit network message capabilities. Message Networking letsyou specify whether your site can receive, send or reply to network messages.Sometimes it is necessary to disable Network Messaging. You can disable Message Networkingsystem-wide by:• disabling Network Receive• disabling Network Delivery• disabling Network ReplyYou can disable Network Messaging for individual mailboxes through the Class of Service.Disabling Network ReceiveNetwork Receive lets your site receive messages from other sites on the network. If you do notwant your site to receive network messages, disable Network Receive.Disabling Network DeliveryNetwork Delivery lets your site send network messages. Sometimes it is necessary to disable thisfeature. For example, you may want to stop the sending of network messages when your companyis closed.If Network Deliver is disabled, a mailbox owner who tries to send a network message will receivea Non-Delivery Notification message.Disabling Network ReplyNetwork Reply lets people at your site reply to network messages left in their mailboxes fromother sites.Disabling Network Messaging through a Class of Service settingYou can restrict Network Messaging for individual mailboxes. You do this by changing or editingthe Class of Service for a mailbox.Note: You disable these properties in the general networking properties.
