3. Programming Program Change ñ Level One50 AFP-100/AFP-100E Instruction PN 51010:C1 02/06/2002Password ChangeWhile displaying the Program Menu, press the 4 key to change either of two passwords. One high levelpassword, defaulted to '00000', allows for point and system programming. A second lower levelpassword, defaulted to '11111', allows for status changes such as:ï Disable points/zonesï Clear history fileï Walktest enableï Time and date setï Program checkPressing the 4 key will display the following:Select the password to change by typing * or #, then enter the new password. As the new program orstatus password is entered, it is displayed. When the enter key is pressed, the display reads ìPRESSENTER IF OK, NNNNN=NEW PROGRAM PWî. After the ENTER key is pressed, the new password isstored in EEPROM memory and the program returns to the program change screen. If BACKSPACE isentered, the password remains unchanged and the program returns to the program change screen.LoadCaution: Changes to program entries occur as a result of the downloading process. After successfuldownloading, make sure to perform the following steps:1. Print out all programmed data via the print mode or manually view programmed entries andcompare to intended program data.2. Test all affected control panel operations.3. Immediately correct any problems that you find.While displaying the Program Menu, program selection 5 sets up the control panel for transfer of itsapplication database from/to a Windows-based computer. This may be used to save the program thatexists in an control panel for security and future service reasons; or may be used to transfer a programcreated off-line to the control panel. When the Load option is selected, the following screen will bedisplayed:The PC connects to the EIA-232 printer interface (instructions provided with the VeriïFire CD MediumSystem Programming Utility or see "Printer and PC Interface" on page 38). Continue to press the left arrow key to return to the mainprogram screen.At the completion of system programming, switch SW1 (Write Protect) should be set to the WriteProtect position to prevent inadvertent changes to programmed features.
