Getting started > 24P APER RECOMMENDATIONSYour MFP will handle a variety of print media, including a range of paper weights and sizes, transparencies and envelopes. This section provides general advice on choice of media, andexplains how to use each type. The best performance will be obtained when using standard 60 - 120g/m² paper designedfor use in copiers and laser printers.Use of heavily embossed or very rough textured paper is not recommended.Pre-printed stationery can be used, but the ink must not offset when exposed to the highfuser temperatures used in the printing process.CASSETTE TRAYSThe Cassette Tray can handle paper weights of 60g/m² to 120g/m². The Cassette Tray isideal for printing A4 documents for more than 1 page in length. If you have identical paper stock loaded in another tray (the optional 2nd or the multipurpose tray) you can have the MFP switch to another tray when the current tray runs outof paper. When printing from Windows applications, this function is enabled in the driversettings. When printing from other systems, this function is enabled in the Printer menu.M ULTI PURPOSE TRAYThe multi purpose tray can handle the same media sizes as the cassette trays but inweights from 60g/m² up to 163g/m². For very heavy paper stock, use the face up (rearcover) paper stacker.
