Do not forget to raise the flapto prevent the sheets from falling down.Starting your deviceDevice connection1 Plug the end of the telephone line into theterminal socket and the other end into thewall telephone socket.2 For the model B2540, plug end of the LANcord (as provided by your networkadministrator) into port of your fax machineand the other end into your local networkport dedicated to your fax machine.3 Make sure that the On/Off switch is on Off (Oposition).4 Connect the power cord to the device.Plug the power cord to outlet on the wall.5 Press the On/Off button to turn on the device(I position).6 By default, the machine is set to operate inthe US in English. To modify this parameter,refer to Country, page 28.7 Set the date and time, refer to Date/Time,page 28.Before plugging the power cord,it is imperative to refer to theSafety booklet.
