This number is approximate because different numbers ofpages are printed each time and the environmental conditions andthe paper type used may vary.WHEN TO REPLACE THE IMAGE DRUMB4200When the drum reaches 90% of its life, a CHANGE DRUM message isdisplayed in the printer Status Monitor. Also, the Error LED indicatorslowly blinks when the image drum requires changing. Change theimage drum when the print becomes faint or begins to deteriorate.B4300, B4300N, B4300NPSWhen the drum reaches 90% of its life, a CHANGE DRUM message isdisplayed in the operator panel LCD. Change the image drum whenthe print becomes faint or begins to deteriorate.REPLACING THE IMAGE DRUMIt is recommended that you change the toner cartridge and clean theLED array at the same time as you change the image drum.CAUTION!The green image drum surface at the base of the cartridge is verydelicate and light sensitive. Do not touch it and do not expose it tonormal room light for more than 5 minutes. If the drum unit needs to beout of the printer for longer than this, please wrap the cartridge insidea black plastic bag to keep it away from light. Never expose the drumto direct sunlight or very bright room lighting. Always hold the imagedrum unit by the ends or from the top.
