Similarly, there are certain colors, (some yellows, forexample), that can be printed, but cannot be displayed accuratelyon a monitor. This disparity between monitors and printers is oftenthe main reason that printed colors do not match the colorsdisplayed on screen.Viewing conditionsA print can look very different under different lighting conditions. Forexample, the colors in a print may look different when viewedstanding next to a sunlit window, compared to how they look understandard office fluorescent lighting.Monitor Color Profile SelectApple provides a ColorSync Utility — Devices that allows selectionof the OKI supplied ICC color profile for your monitor. The profile willattempt to calibrate the monitor to more closely match the printer’soutput. However, merely selecting the profile will not automaticallyproduce perfect results as many factors will contribute to the gamutof color selection.1.
