28 • Getting StartedPaper RecommendationsYour MFP will handle a variety of print media, including a range of paper weights andsizes, transparencies and envelopes. This section provides general advice on choiceof media, and explains how to use each type.Standard Paper: The best performance will be obtained when using standard 60 to120 g/m² paper designed for use in copiers and laser printers.Not Recommended: Use of heavily embossed or very rough textured paper is notrecommended.Letterhead Stationery: Pre-printed stationery can be used, but the ink must not offsetwhen exposed to the high fuser temperatures used in the printing process.Tray 1The paper tray can handle paper weights of 16 to 32 lb. US Bond (60 to 120 g/m²).If you have identical paper stock loaded in another tray (the optional 2nd or the multipurpose tray) you can have the MFP switch to another tray when the current tray runsout of paper. When printing from Windows applications, this function is enabled in thedriver settings.
