PRINTER DRIVERS > 125. The printer will be identifiedimmediately by the New HardwareWizard and install itself in the Printerfolder. An additional item, USB PrintingSupport will also appear in the DeviceManager each time the printer isswitched ON and connected.6. Check that the default paper size hasbeen correctly set by looking at thesettings in the Settings > Printers folder.Under the printer's Properties > Generaltab, the current paper selection isshown. The printer picks up its initialsetting from the Locale settings on thehost computer. The paper size can bealtered by using the drop down arrowand selecting an alternative size.7. If the printer had formerly been used as a parallel or serialdevice and there is no output from the printer once a USBcable has been connected, check to see that the correct porthas been selected. This information can also be found in theProperties folder but under the Ports tab. Amend as necessary.8. If there are printing problems, check to see whether there is aUSB connection active in the Control Panel. If there is no USBconnection shown, you must install the hub.9. Alternatively, there may be a problem if the printer isconnected via a USB hub. Disconnect the printer cable fromthe hub and connect it directly to the computer.
