Mechanical adjustment Field Service Ver. 2.0 May 200842ZU-603Adjustment / Setting6.4 2nd stopper position adjustment• Conduct this adjustment when the 2nd folding position cannot be adjusted from the ser-vice mode or the skew of the 2nd folding cannot be adjusted by the procedure in “6.3 2ndfolding skew adjustment.”NOTEThis adjustment affects the 2nd Z-fold amount and 2nd Z-fold position. Be suretherefore to perform the following adjustment procedure whenever this adjustmenthas been completed.• 2nd folding skew adjustmentSee P.41• [2nd Z-fold Position] of the service modeSee P.341. Conduct the Z-folding printing opera-tion to move the 2nd stopper [1] tothe home position, and then turnOFF the main power switch of themain body.2. Open the front door, and pull out theZ folding/conveyance unit.3. Check to see if the distance betweenthe 2nd stopper [1] and inside edgeof the guide plate [2] is within a stan-dard value.Standard value: a = 20 ± 0.5 mm4. When the value is not within thestandard value, perform the followingprocedure.5. Loosen two screws [3] with the hexwrench, and then adjust the distancebetween the 2nd stopper [1] and theinside of the guide plate [2] so that itgets to the standard value a.NOTE• Be sure not to rotate the actuator[5] of the 2nd stopper home sensor[4] during the adjustment.
