1922-6 Time Code SectionGENLOCK IN connector (BNC)This connector is used to input a reference signal before thecamera unit is gen-locked, or before the time code isexternally locked.TC IN connector (BNC)This connector is used to input a reference time code whenyou externally lock the time code.TC OUT connector (BNC)When you inter-lock the time code of the AJ-SPX900E withthat of an external device this must be connected with thetime code input (TC IN) connector of the external device.HOLD buttonPressing this button freezes the time data indication on thecounter. Note that time code generation continues. Pressingthe button again reactivates the counter.This function is used to ascertain the time code or CTLcount of a particular recorded scene.RESET buttonThis button resets the time data (CTL) on the counter to“00:00:00:00”.If this button is pressed when with the TCG switchpositioned at [SET], time code and user’s bit data are resetto 0, and real-time data is reset to the initial value.DISPLAY (counter display selector) switchIndications of the time code, CTL and user bits on thecounter of the display window depend on the positions ofthis switch and the TCG switch.Pressing the HOLD button also displays Date/Time/TimeZone.UB: User bits indicated.TC: Time code indicated.CTL: CTL indicated.TCG (time code selector) switchThis switch is used to specify the stepping mode for thebuilt-in time code generator.F-RUN: Select this position to continuously advance thetime code independently of the P2 card recordingstatus.Use this mode to synchronise the time code withthe time of day, or to externally lock the time code.SET: Select this position to set the time code and/oruser bits.R-RUN: Select this position to advance the time code onlyduring recording.For spliced scenes recorded on P2 cards, thesequence of time codes is unbroken.CURSOR and SET buttonsUse these buttons to set the time code and user bits.The four triangular buttons are the CURSOR buttons, andthe center rectangular one is the SET button.For guidance in setting the time code and user’s bit, see [4-5Setting Time Data].ᤨࠫDownloaded From CamcorderManual.com Panasonic Manuals
