564-8 Adjusting and setting the LCDmonitorUsing the LCD Monitor1 Turn on the POWER switch of the AJ-SPX900E.2 Slide the OPEN button in the arrow direction to open theLCD monitor.3 Adjust the angle of the LCD monitor for most convenientviewing.The monitor can turn up to 180 degrees towards the lensand up to 90 degrees towards you.To prevent camera-recorder failure, do not allow undueforce to be applied to the monitor (when it is open).4 The options BRIGHTNESS, COLOR LEVEL, andCONTRAST show respectively the brightness, color leveland contrast of the screen. These options can be found inthe screen, which is accessible from theSYSTEM SETTING page.5 Through the menu option LCD MON CHAR, specifywhether or not the LCD should display the same charactersas the viewfinder.This menu option can be found in the screen, which is accessible from the SYSTEM SETTINGpage.z When closing the LCD monitor make sure that it is shuttight.z In an environment with sudden temperature changes,condensation may form on the liquid crystal surface ofthe monitor. If this happens, wipe off the moisture with asoft, dry cloth.z When the camera-recorder is very cold, the video imagein the LCD monitor will appear slightly darker immediatelyafter the power is turned on.
