This unit converts still pictureparts of PAL system DVD-Audio to NTSC forplay on NTSC television. The picture iscompressed to show it in its entirety, but thismay cause it to be stretched vertically.∫ Playing DVDs and Video CDsThe producer of these discs can control howthey are played so you may not always be ableto control play as described in these operatinginstructions (for example if the play time is notdisplayed or if a Video CD has menus). Readthe disc’s instructions carefully.Disc and Card informationUse discs with the above logos and that conform to specifications. The unit cannot play other discscorrectly.Do not use irregularly shaped discs (e.g. heart-shaped), as these can damage the unit.It may not be possible to play CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R and DVD-RAM in all cases due to the type ofdisc or condition of the recording.∫ CD-R and CD-RW discsThis unit can play CD-R/RW (audio recordingdisc) recorded with CD-DA, video CD, SVCD(conforming to IEC62107), WMA, MP3, orJPEG.
