In the event of apower failure during recording or play, the contentmay be damaged.∫ HDD is a very special device that is easilysusceptible to damageThis unit cannot save (backup) the HDD titles tomedia. You have to be very careful when handling theunit and editing the title.≥Place the unit on a surface that is flat and notsubject to vibration or impact.≥Do not place on anythingthat generates heat like aVCR, etc.≥Place in an area wherecondensation does notoccur. Conditions wherecondensation may occur–When there is an extreme change in temperature(moving from a very hot location to a very coldlocation, or vice versa, or when subjected to an airconditioner or when cooled air directly impacts theunit).–When there is high humidity or a lot of steam in theroom.–During the rainy season.In the above situation, without turning the unit on,let the unit adjust to the room temperature and wait2–3 hours until condensation is gone.∫ Cigarette smoke etc. causes malfunctionor breakdownThe unit may breakdown if cigarette smoke or bugspray/vapour, etc. gets inside the unit.Before moving the unit, ensure the disc tray is empty.1 Turn the unit off. (Wait until “BYE” disappears fromthe display.)2 Remove the AC mains lead from the householdmains socket.3 Move only after the unit has come to a completestop (approx. 3 minutes) in order to avoidsubjecting to vibration and shock.
