- 12 -CAUTION:● Check the speed selector switchbefore use.● Use at low speed when high torqueis needed during operation. (Usingat high speed when high torquei s r e q u i r e d m a y c a u s e a m o t o rbreakdown.)● Do not operate the speed selectorswitch (LOW-HIGH) while pulling onthe speed control trigger. This cancause the rechargeable battery towear quickly or damage the internalmechanism of the motor.* See specifications for “MAXIMUMRECOMMENDED CAPACITIES”.CAUTION:● To prevent excessive temperatureincrease of the tool surface, do notoperate the tool continuously usingtwo or more battery packs. The toolneeds cool-off time before switchingto another pack.● Do not close up vent holes on thesides of the body during operation.Otherwise, the machine function isadversely affected to cause a failure.● Do NOT strain the tool (motor). Thismay cause damage to the unit.● Use the tool in such a way as toprevent the air from the body ventholes from blowing directly onto yourskin. Otherwise, you may get burned.Bit-locking Function1. With the trigger switch not engagedand a screwdriver bit locked in place,the tool can be used as a manualscrewdriver (up to 40 N·m, 408 kgf-cm,353 in-lbs).There will be a little play in the chuck,but this is not a malfunction.2. This feature is handy for tighteningscrews that require more torque thanthe maximum torque of the driver(position on the clutch), for confirmingthe tightness of a screw or to loosen anextremely tight screw.Control Panel(1)(3)(2)(1) LED lightBefore the use of LEDlight, always pull the powerswitch once.Press the LED lightbutton.The light illuminates withvery low current, and it does not adverselyaffect the performance of the tool duringuse or its battery capacity.CAUTION:● The built-in LED light is designedto illuminate the small work areatemporarily.● Do not use it as a substitute for aregular flashlight, since it does nothave enough brightness.● LED light turns off when the tool hasnot been used for 5 minutes.Caution: DO NOT STARE INTO BEAM.Use of controls or adjustments orperformance of procedures other thanthose specified herein may result inhazardous radiation exposure.
