23Troubleshooting■ Entering PasswordEven after entering thepassword, passwordinput screen isdisplayed again.● The computer may be in ten-key mode.If the NumLk indicator lights, press NumLk to disable the tenkeymode, and then input.● The computer may be in Caps Lock mode.If the Caps Lock indicator lights, press Caps Lock to disable theCaps Lock mode, and then input.Cannot sign in toWindows. (“The username or password isincorrect.” is displayed.)● The user name (account name) includes an “@” mark.- If another user account name exists:Sign in to Windows using another user account name, and delete theaccount name that includes “@”. Then create a new account name.- If no other account name exists:You need to reinstall Windows (è page 16).■ Shutting downWindows does not shutdown.● Remove the USB devices.● Wait one or two minutes. It is not a malfunction.■ DisplayNo display. ● The external display may be selected.Display “Charm” and select - [Project].Select the display mode.● When using an external display,• Check the cable connection.• Turn on the display.• Check the settings of external display.● If the power indicator is on, the display is turned off.Touch the screen.● If the power indicator is off or blinking, the computer entered sleep orhibernation.Press the power switch.The screen is dark. ● The screen is darker when the AC adaptor is not connected. Openthe Dashboard for Panasonic PC and adjust the brightness. As youincrease the brightness, battery consumption increases.You can separately set the brightness for when the AC adaptor isconnected and when not connected.● Under factory default settings, the brightness of the display screenwill adjust automatically based on the ambient light detected by theambient light sensor.
