Youcan use this list to return missed calls.L Caller information includes caller namesand phone numbers, the date and timeof calls, and the number of times thecaller called.Missed callsIf a call is not answered, the unit treats thecall as a missed call. The number ofmissed calls is shown on the handsetdisplay. This lets you know if you shouldview the caller list to see who called whileyou were out.L If there are no items in the caller list,{CID} will not be displayed.Viewing the caller list andcalling back1 Press {CID} (left soft key).2 Press {V} to search from the mostrecent call, or press {^} to search fromthe oldest call.L To exit the caller list, press {OFF}.3 Press {C} or {s}.Note:L Calling back will not be possible if thecaller information does not include aphone number.L In some cases, you may have to edit thenumber before dialing. (For example,you may have to delete “1” and the areacode.)Displayed symbolsL If the same caller calls more than once, itwill be displayed with the number (“×2”to “×9”). Only the date and time of themost recent call will be stored.L A Q is displayed next to items whichhave already been viewed or answeredon this handset.Editing a caller’s phone numberbefore calling backYou can edit a phone number in the callerlist by removing its area code and/or thelong distance code “1”.1 Press {CID} (left soft key).2 Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to displaythe desired item.3 Press {EDIT} repeatedly until thephone number is shown in the desiredformat.Each time you press {EDIT}, the phonenumber will be rearranged into one of 3patterns.1 Local phone number2 Area code – Local phone number3 1 – Area code – Local phonenumber4 Press {C} or {s} to call back.Caller ID number auto edit featureOnce you call back an edited number (see“Editing a caller’s phone number beforecalling back”), the unit can automaticallyedit other incoming phone numbers eachtime you receive a call.For example, you can use this feature toset the unit to ignore the area code ofcallers in your area code, so that you cancall these local numbers using callerinformation without dialing the area code.To activate this feature, you must edit anitem in the caller list (see “Editing a caller’sphone number before calling back”), thencall that number.
