Turn it on(page 23).L The recording time is set to “Greeting Only”.Select “1 Minute” or “3 Minutes” (page 27).L If you subscribe to the voice mail service,messages are recorded by your serviceprovider/telephone company not your telephone.Change the unit’s “Number of Rings” setting orconsult your service provider/telephone company(page 27).I cannot operate theanswering system withthe handset.L The base unit or another handset is being used.Wait for the other user to finish.L A caller is leaving a message. Wait for the caller tofinish.L The handset is too far from the base unit. Movecloser.When I try to operatethe answering systemwith the base unit, theanswer on indicator onthe base unit flashesfor a few seconds andI cannot operate theanswering system.L Another handset is being used.
