If you subscribe to both Caller ID and CallWaiting with Caller ID services, the 2nd caller’sinformation is displayed after you hear the callwaiting tone on the base unit.1 Press MCALL WAITN to answer the 2nd call.2 To switch between calls, press MCALL WAITN.Note:R Please contact your service provider/telephonecompany for details and availability of thisservice in your area.Temporary tone dialing for landlinecalls (for rotary/pulse service users)Press * (TONE) before entering access numberswhich require tone dialing.Call shareYou can join an existing outside call.To select the line that is being used for the call:– for a cellular line, press the correspondingcellular line key (MCELL 1N to MCELL 4N), thenlift the corded handset.– for the landline, press MLINE 1N or MLINE 2N,then lift the corded handset.Note:R A maximum of 3 parties (including 1 outsideparty) can join a conversation. (3-wayconference)R To prevent other users from joining yourconversations with outside callers, turn callsharing mode off (page 48).Transferring callsOutside calls can be transferred between 2 people.1 During an outside call, press MINTERCOMN.When 2 or more handsets are registered:MbN: Select the desired unit. a MSELECTNR To page all handsets, press 0 or wait for afew seconds.2 Wait for the paged party to answer.R If paged party does not answer, pressMINTERCOMN to return to the outside call.3 Place the corded handset on the cradle.R The outside call is being routed to thehandset.Conference landline calls3 people can establish a conference call.Conference call with 2 outside callsWhile you are talking with an outside caller, youcan make or answer a 2nd call on the other line,and then combine the calls to establish aconference call.1 During an outside call, press MHOLDN.2 To make a 2nd call:Press MLINE 1N or MLINE 2N, then dial thephone number.To answer a 2nd call:Press MLINE 1N or MLINE 2N.3 When the 2nd call is connected, pressMCONFN.R The 2 calls are combined.R To hang up only one line, press MLINE 1N orMLINE 2N for the party with which you wantto continue talking.R To put both lines on hold, press MHOLDN.– To resume both lines, press MCONFN.– To talk with only one caller, press MLINE1N or MLINE 2N for the party with whichyou want to continue talking.Conference call with an outside call and anintercom callWhile you are talking with an outside caller, onemore extension can join the conversation andestablish a conference call.1 During an outside call, press MINTERCOMN.When 2 or more handsets are registered:MbN: Select the desired unit. a MSELECTNR To page all handsets, press 0 or wait for afew seconds.2 When the paged party answers, pressMCONFN.R If paged party does not answer, pressMINTERCOMN to return to the outside call.R The 2 calls are combined.R To leave the conference, place the cordedhandset on the cradle.
