Voicemail isan answering service that may be offered byyour phone service provider. This service canalso record calls when you are unavailable toanswer the phone or when your line is busy.Messages are recorded on the phonecompany system and not on the unit’sanswering system.R To use the voicemail service rather than theunit’s answering system, turn off theanswering system (page 41).If you have unit’s answering system set to onand also the voicemail enabled, the systemwith least amount of rings will record themessage first.Example:If the unit’s answering system is set to 4 rings(page 46) and the voicemail answering systemprovided by your phone company is set to 6rings (call your service provider), the unit’sanswering system will record the incoming callfirst.Important:R You need to store the voicemail accessnumber to activate the message indicator(page 46) for voicemail service.Storing the voicemail (VM)access numberIn order to listen to your voicemail messages,you must dial your phone service provider’svoicemail access number.
