Call blockYou can press the MCALL BLOCKN button in thefollowing situations to disconnect the current calland add a phone number to the call block list:– when an incoming call is being received– when an incoming call is being recorded by theanswering system– when talking on an outside callOnce a phone number has been added to the callblock list, the unit will block calls from that phonenumber in the future.Handset / Base unit1 Press MCALL BLOCKN under the situationsshown above.2 Confirm the call block number and pressMYESN.R The call block number is stored in the callblock list, confirmation tone sounds*1 and“Call blocked” is displayed, and thenthe call is disconnected.*1 Confirmation tones are used withpermission of © 2018 Copyrights VisionInc.Note:R If the call has no phone number, the call isblocked but it is not stored in the call block list.R The call block feature is not available forintercom calls or calls received by call waiting.R Blocked calls are logged in the caller list.Storing unwanted callersThe unit can block calls by storing the desireditems in the call block list beforehand (Caller IDsubscribers only).– “Block a single number”: The unit blockscalls from specific phone numbers stored in thecall block list.– “Block range of numbers”: The unitblocks calls that begin with a number stored inthe call block list, such as a toll-free phonenumber prefix or certain area codes.– “Block unknown CID”: The unit blocks callsthat have no phone number.Single phone numbers and ranges of numbers canbe stored in the call block list up to 1,000 items intotal.Blocking unwanted callers:When a call is received, the unit will not ring whilecaller information is being received*1.If the caller’s phone number matches an entry inthe call block list, the unit emits no sound to thecaller, and disconnects the call.*1 If you want the first ring to sound, select “Yes”in “Turning the first ring on/off” (page 24).Storing a single phone numberImportant:R We recommend storing 10 digits (including thearea code).
