49≥Even if Playback Digital Zoom Functions arebeing used, images that are output from the DVTerminal (l 7) or Digital Still Picture Terminal(l 37) are not enlarged.≥As you enlarge an image, the quality of imagesuffers.ª Audio Dubbing≥The blank section of a tape cannot be dubbed.≥Sounds sent through the DV Terminal cannot bedubbed.≥If a tape has a non-recorded portion when thetape is dubbed, images and sounds may bedisturbed when this portion of the tape is playedback.≥If you set the tape counter back to 0 at theposition where you want to stop Audio Dubbingso as to make it possible to use the MemoryStop Function (l 57), Audio Dubbing isterminated automatically when the tape reachesthis position.≥In the case of importing data recorded withAudio Dubbing to a PC using the PC’s softwareprogramme, only the original sound (ST1) maybe imported, depending on the softwareprogramme.ª Recording the Contents of OtherEquipmentAnalog-Digital Conversion≥When the Movie Camera is connected with otherdigital video equipment through its DV Terminal,images recorded in analog form from otherexternal equipment can be output to the digitalvideo equipment through the DV Terminal.ª Using the DV Cable for Recording(Digital Dubbing)≥Regardless of the setting, digital dubbing iscarried out automatically in the same audiorecording mode as that of the Cassette on theplayback-side.≥The images on the monitor of the recording sidemay be disturbed, but it does not affect therecorded images.≥Even if Playback Digital Effects or PlaybackDigital Zoom Function have been used, theseeffects are not output from the DV Terminal.≥Even if you use device equipped with DVTerminals (such as IEEE1394), you may not beable to perform Digital Dubbing in some cases.≥Do not connect both an S-Video Cable or AVCable and a DV Cable.ª Recording on a Card≥You cannot record still images from the tape tothe Card when a USB Cables is connected.≥The sound cannot be recorded.≥The Shutter Effect cannot be used.≥Pictures with wide-screen format signals cannotbe copied.≥Even if Playbak Digital Effects (MIRROR,MOSAIC, SEPIA, B/W) have been used, theseeffects do not affect the recording.≥Multi-Picture cannot be recorded.ª Playing Back a Card≥If a blank (nothing recorded) Card is played, thescreen becomes white and the [NO PICTURE]Indication appears.≥If you attempt to play back a still picture recordedin a different format or a picture whose imagedata is defective, the [INCOMPATIBLE IMAGE]Indication could appear as warning.≥This Movie Camera can also play back theMega-Pixel still pictures recorded with the otherequipment. However it takes longer than usualtime.≥When the size of the picture played back is over[1280k960], the picture played back in smallsize on the LCD Monitor.ª Photo Title≥The Photo Title Function and Digital Functioncannot be used simultaneously.≥After recording, the Photo TItle setting is clearedautomatically.≥The Photo Title Function cannot be used when aDV Cable is connected.ª Formatting a CardIf a Card becomes unreadable by the MovieCamera, formatting it may make it reusable.Formatting erases all the data recorded on aCard.≥When the formatting is completed, the[NO PICTURE] Indication appears.≥It may not be possible to use the Card which wasformatted using this Movie Camera on anotherunit. In this case, format the Card on the unitwhich will be using the Card. Take steps toensure that valuable pictures are stored on thepersonal computer, etc. as well beforeproceeding.ª DPOF≥Perform the DPOF Settings with your own MovieCamera in use.≥Verifying the DPOF Settings may take a littletime. Wait until the [ACCESS] Lamp goes out.ª Using a Card in a PersonalComputer≥To erase pictures that you recorded on the Cardby using the Movie Camera, be sure to erasethem on the Movie Camera, not on thecomputer.
