35LAMP SELECT“LAMP SELECT” is used to choose from “SINGLE”and “DUAL” modes depending on user’s needs orviewing conditions.In “SINGLE” mode, the projector may automaticallyselect either lamp from the 2 lamps, or theparticular lamp can be specified.DUAL : Two lamps are used simultaneously.SINGLE : One of either lamps is used (lamp with shorteroperating hours is automatically selected).LAMP1 : Lamp Unit 1 is always used.LAMP2 : Lamp Unit 2 is always used.When one of the above settings is selected, it willtake effect after the ENTER button is pressed.• If, in the “SINGLE”, “LAMP1” or“LAMP2” mode, one lamp remains offor the currently active lamp exceeds3 000 hours of cumulative operatingtime, the other lamp will light. If, in the“DUAL” mode, one lamp remains off orthe currently active lamp exceeds3 000 hours of cumulative operatingtime, the other lamp alone will light.However, if both lamps remain off orthe 3 000 hours of cumulativeoperating time are exceeded, theprojector will enter the standby mode.• The colors of the items indicate thestatus.Green Current settingYellow Current setting (when alamp fails or fails to light)Red Lamp that has failed tolightWhite Any other status• If the projector is repeatedly used forshort periods of time, the lamps willneed to be replaced more frequently.NoteLAMP RELAYIf using the projector for a continuous period of 24hours or more, this setting can be used toautomatically switch the lamps that are turned on inorder to reduce the lamp deterioration that canoccur as a result of continuous use.OFF : This is the standard setting. “LAMPRELAY” is disabled.00:00 - 23:00: This can be set in one hour intervals from00:00 to 23:00.• Only when “DUAL” or “SINGLE” isselected in “LAMP SELECT”, “LAMPRELAY” is active. If “LAMP1” or“LAMP2” is selected, “LAMP RELAY”function is not available.• When “DUAL” is selected in “LAMPSELECT”, only one lamp will light for a4-hour period after the set time.• When “SINGLE” is selected in “LAMPSELECT”, the lamp that was off at theset time will light, and then the lampthat was lighted until the set time willturn off.• The setting time will be the local time.(page 36)NoteRS-232CThis sets the communication parameters at theserial terminals.For details on the serial terminals, refer to “Usingthe serial terminals” (page 48).(IN) BAUDRATE : 9600, 19200 or 38400 isselected.(IN) PARITY : NONE, EVEN or ODD isselected.(OUT) BAUDRATE: 9600, 19200 or 38400 isselected.(OUT) PARITY : NONE, EVEN or ODD isselected.VPS SYSTEM : MASTER or SLAVE isselected.GROUP : A to Z is selected.
