Basic OperationSwitching the projector on/offENGLISH - 211. Switch the MAIN POWER on.The power indicator lights up in RED.2. Open the Front panel cover.This is not necessary in Remote control operation.3. Press the POWER button.The power indicator lights up in GREEN afterflashing for a while.The STARTUP LOGO is displayed on the screen.See “STARTUP LOGO” on page 34.1. Open the Front panel cover.This is not necessary in Remote control operation.2. Press the POWER button.The confirmation screen is displayed. It willdisappear and return to the projection after10 seconds without any operation.To return to the projection, press any button exceptthe POWER button.3. Press the POWER button.The power indicator lights up in ORANGE whilecooling the lamp, then illuminates RED when isready to switch off the MAIN POWER.4. Switch off the MAIN POWER on the back of theprojector.Switching on the projectorNOTE:• When starting up the projector, some small rattling or tinkling sound may be heard, or the display may flicker for thecharacteristics of the lamp. Those are normal and will not affect the performance of the projector.• When the internal cooling fan is operating, some, operational sound may be heard. The loudness of the operational sounddepends on the external temperature.• If you disconnected the Mains lead or switched off the MAIN POWER while on projecting mode, the projection will startwith connecting the Mains lead or switching on the MAIN POWER. See “DIRECT POWER ON” on page 35.Switching off the projectorNOTE:• Press the POWER twice or for a long duration to switch the power off.• You can disconnect the Mains lead or switch off the MAIN POWER instead of following this procedure. See “DIRECTPOWER ON” on page 35.• You can turn off the projector by pressing the POWER button longer than 0.5 seconds.
