ENGLISH - 23 Basic OperationRemote control operationYou can operate the projector with the remote controlwithin the remote range 15 m (49'2"), approximately± 30° vertically and horizontally.Q Facing to the projectorMake sure the remote control emitter is facing tothe remote control signal receptor of the projectorwhen pressing the buttons to operate.Q Facing to the screenMake sure the remote control emitter is facing tothe screen when pressing the buttons to operatethe projector. The signal will be reflected off thescreen to the projector.The operating range may differ due to the screenmaterial, and this function may not be effective with atranslucent screen.If you need to readjust the projected imageposition while projecting or when AUTO SETUPin OPTION menu is set to BUTTON, press theAUTO SETUP button.The projector will detect a RGB signal by SIGNALSEARCH system and adjust the setting of POSITION,DOT CLOCK and CLOCK PHASE in POSITION menuautomatically.Operating rangeNOTE:• See “About Your Projector” on page 12 to confirm theposition of the remote control signal emitter andreceptor.• Do not let strong light shine onto the signal receptor.The remote control may malfunction under strong lightsuch as fluorescent.• If there are any obstacles between the remote controlemitter and the remote control signal receptor, theremote control may not operate correctly.Setting up the image position automaticallyNOTE:• If SIGNAL SEARCH setting in OPTION menu is set toOFF, select the required signal manually first. See“Switching the input signal” on page 24.• If the dot clock frequency is 108 MHz or higher, AUTOSETUP is not effective.• If the projected image is too dark or blurred around theedge, AUTO SETUP may stop the processing beforecomplete the adjustment and return to the previoussetting.
