Record mode26LSQT0860Recording still pictures on a cardwhile recording image onto a tapeYou can record still pictures while recordingimage onto a tape.≥Set to Tape Recording Mode.1 Press the [PHOTO SHOT] button fully whilerecording image onto a tape.≥For the number of still pictures to be recordedon a card, refer to -66-.≥When recording pictures onto a card, therecording start/stop button is disabled.≥You can select a picture quality for still picturesto be recorded. (-27-)≥In tape recording mode, the size of pictures thatcan be recorded is [640].≥In order to record higher quality still pictures,you must use the card recording mode.Check the recordingThe last image recorded is played back for 2 to3 seconds. After checking, the Camcorder will beset to a recording pause.≥Set to Tape Recording Mode.1 Press the joystick during the recordingpause until the icon 1 appears.2 Move the joystick down to select therecording check icon [ ].Blank search functionSearches for the last part of the image recorded(unused part of the tape).≥Set to Tape Recording/Playback Mode.1 Set [BASIC] or [ADVANCE] >>[BLANK SEARCH] >> [YES].ª Stopping a blank search midwaythroughMove the joystick down.≥If the cassette tape has no blank part, then theCamcorder will stop at the end of the tape.≥The Camcorder stops at a point approx.1 second before the end of the last imagerecorded. When you start recording at thatpoint, the image can be recorded seamlesslyfrom the last image.Recording still pictures onto a card(Photoshot)≥Set to Card Recording Mode.1 Press the [PHOTO SHOT] button.ª To record still pictures clearly≥When zooming in on the subject with amagnification of 4k to 10k or higher, it isdifficult to reduce the slight shaking from holdingthe Camcorder by hand. We recommenddecreasing the zoom magnification andapproaching the subject when recording.≥When recording still pictures, hold theCamcorder firmly with your hands and keepyour arms stationary at your side so as not toshake the Camcorder.≥You can record stable pictures without shakingby using a tripod and the remote control.≥For the number of still pictures to be recordedon a card, refer to -66-.≥The sound cannot be recorded.≥While data is being recorded on a card, do notoperate the mode dial.≥When the access lamp is lit, do not insert orremove a card.PHOTOSHOT1PCPHOTOSHOT
