Use a fullycharged battery.• The battery protection circuit may haveoperated. Attach the battery to the AC adaptorfor 5 to 10 seconds. If the Camcorder stillcannot be used, the battery is faulty.• Is the LCD monitor opened or the viewfinderextended?2: The Camcorder power is turned offautomatically.• If you set [POWER SAVE] to [5 MINUTES] anddo not operate the Camcorder for about5 continuous minutes, the power isautomatically turned off for tape protection andpower conservation. To resume recording, turnthe [OFF/ON] switch to [OFF]. Then turn it to[ON] again. (-29-) Also, if you set[POWER SAVE] to [OFF], the power does notautomatically turn off.3: The Camcorder power does not stay onlong enough.• Is the battery low? If the remaining batterypower indication is flashing or the message“LOW BATTERY” is displayed, the battery hasrun down. Charge the battery or attach a fullycharged battery. (-15-)• Has condensation occurred? When you carrythe Camcorder from a cold place into a warmplace, condensation may occur inside it. If so,the power is turned off automatically, disablingall operations except for taking cassettes out.Wait until the condensation indicationdisappears. (-72-)4: Battery runs down quickly.• Is the battery fully charged? Charge it with theAC adaptor. (-15-)• Are you using the battery in an extremely coldplace? The battery is affected by ambienttemperature. In cold places, the operating timeof the battery becomes shorter.• Has the battery worn out? The battery has alimited life. If the operating time is still too shorteven after the battery is fully charged,depending on the usage, the battery has wornout and can no longer be used.5: The Camcorder cannot be operated thoughpowered up.The Camcorder does not operate normally.• The Camcorder cannot be operated unless youopen the LCD monitor or extend the viewfinder.• Remove the cassette and the card and thenpress the [RESET] button. (-71-) If normalconditions are not restored yet, turn off thepower. Then, about 1 minute later, turn on thepower again. (Conducting the above operationwhen the access lamp is on may destroy thedata on the card.)6: The cassette cannot be removed.• Does the status indicator comes on whenopening the cassette cover?
