English19RQT6091Listening to CDsWhen in the 3-CD changer stop mode (CD PLAYER indicator isshown in the display window), press the PLAY MODE button(main unit/remote control) repeatedly until “CD RANDOM” isshown in the information display. The RANDOM indicator will beshown in the PLAY MODE section of the display window.Note• The random playback mode cannot be used for discs loaded inthe CDR.• Random play is started by pressing the CD Control PLAY pbutton on the main unit or the p (play) button on the remotecontrol.• When activated, tracks are chosen randomly for playback fromthe CDs loaded in the 3-CD changer. The tracks chosen will belit in the music calendar and the SKIP ON lamp turns off.• Selection is made only once, from 1 to 99 tracks, and playbackends after the last track is played.• Tracks assigned a SKIP TRACK mark will not be chosen.• The CD tray, track number and playback time of the CD cur-rently being played are shown in the information display.• Track selection with the number buttons is not accepted duringthe random playback mode.To release the random playback modeWhen the unit is in the 3-CD changer stop mode, press the PLAYMODE button repeatedly until the RANDOM indicator is clearedfrom the PLAY MODE section of the display window.There are 3 CD pitch control buttons on the remote control that canbe used to vary the speed of CD playback up to 12% faster orslower than the standard playback speed. This function can be use-ful in changing the pitch when matching the playback speed of theCD with another source.To adjust the pitch of a CD during playbackTo increase the speed of playback, press PITCH+. To decrease thespeed of playback, press PITCH–. Each press of a button increasesor decreases playback speed 1%..• To restore the playback speed to normal, press PITCH 0.• The adjusted playback speed can only be recorded using analogrecording functions such as mixed recording.• Even if the pitch has been adjusted, when digital synchronizedrecording is performed, the pitch is automatically restored to 0.• The amount of pitch adjustment (+/–/0) is shown in the infor-mation display when one of the pitch buttons is pressed.• When the speed of CD playback is changed using the pitch con-trol buttons, there is no signal output from the DIGITAL OUTOPTICAL terminal.• Pitch control cannot be used for the CDR.The Disc Lock function can be used to make it impossible for chil-dren or anyone else to take CDs out of or load new ones into the 3-CD changer and CDR.
