30RQT6091Recording onto CD-R/RW DiscsWhen "ADD FINALIZE?" is shown in the informationwindow:• No response (no input) assumes that finalization is to be per-formed, or you can press the SET button (main unit/remote con-trol) to confirm that finalization is to be done. Press theCANCEL button (main unit/remote control) to keep the discunfinalized.Notes• This message will be shown if the menu FINALIZE functionsetting is “ON”. The default setting is “OFF”.• When a blank disc is in the CDR tray, “UPDATE OPC” isshown following “ADD FINALIZE?”.The recording process starts.• Only the tracks selected from the CDs in the 3-CD changer arerecorded.• Playback starts from the first track selected. The playing time ofthe track and the remaining playing time of the CD-R or CD-RW disc are shown in the information display.• As high-speed recording is performed (CD-R 4x, CD-RW 2x),there is no audio output during the recording process.When recording completes“STOP DUBBING” flashes and recording automatically stops.When recorded without canceling “ADD FINALIZE?”“FINALIZE” is shown in the information window after recordingis stopped and finalization is automatically performed.To stop the recording at any timePress the CD Control STOP s or CDR Control STOP s button onthe main unit or the s (stop) button on the remote control to stopthe recording process. The recording mode is released after “STOPDUBBING” is shown in the information display.Notes• There is no need to adjust the recording level when recording adigital signal.• The last program information (the most recently created pro-gram still stored in the unit’s memory) will be erased if the traysof the 3-CD changer are opened.This type of recording allows you to make a program of your favor-ite tracks on any of the CDs loaded in the 3-CD changer in anyorder you like.1 Load CDs in the 3-CD changer.Note• To close a tray, press the 0 button for the tray number that isopen. If you press the 0 button for a tray number other than thatfor the tray that is open, the program may not be played correctly.2 Load a recordable CD-R or CD-RW disc in the CDR tray.• The disc is read.3 Press the CD EDIT button (main unit/remotecontrol) twice to select the Program Edit mode.• The unit may be required to read the TOC (Table of Contents)of the CDs loaded in the 3-CD changer.
