23Important:• Do not charge batteries other than our nickel metal hydride batteries. To charge batteriesother than our batteries, use a dedicated charger.• It is impossible to charge the battery while using the microphone.• If the microphone is connected to the charger with the power turned on, the microphonewill be powered off and charging will start.• If the microphone is turned on during the charging process, charging will stop and themicrophone will be operated by the power from the charger. In this case, unplug anothermicrophone from the charger.Note:• If the charger remains connected after charging is completed, it will not restart charging tomake up for any amount lost due to self-discharge.• If you always use the microphone with the charger connected, do not install a battery.• If the microphone is turned off and the charger is connected, but the charge indicator doesnot light, check to see that the DC plug of the charger is properly plugged into the DC inputterminal, the power cable of the charger into the charger, and the power plug of the charg-er into the AC outlet.• Charging takes up to 8 hours, but the charging time varies depending on the battery typeand status of use.• Charging at a temperature outside the normal range may result in significantly longercharging times.Note, however, that charging times may become longer even within the operating tempera-ture range, if the temperature of the microphone is higher or lower than the normal condi-tion.• The charger and the microphone may get hot slightly during charging.• Do not charge a rechargeable battery that has just been fully charged. Otherwise you willshorten the life of the battery.• For a new rechargeable battery charged for the first time, or a battery that has been out ofuse for some time (3 months or more) a one-time charge will not be sufficient, so that themicrophone may be serviceable for a shorter time than the normal condition. This is due tothe characteristic of rechargeable batteries. Battery duration can usually be restored tonormal levels by repeatedly charging and discharging (using the microphone) 2 to 3 times.• If an attempt is made to charge a microphone in which a dry cell is installed, the micro-phone detects automatically that a dry cell is installed in it, charging will not start, and thecharge indicator will blink. Note, however, that automatic detection may take some timedepending on the type and condition of the battery, and the charge indicator may be lit inthe meantime.• If you try to recharge a nearly fully charged rechargeable battery at low temperature, therechargeable battery may, in rare cases, be mistaken for a dry cell and the charge indica-tor may blink.• Also read the operating instructions of the charger (WX-LZ150). |
